What is Glassdoor’s list of the best places to work?
Glassdoor’s 15th Annual Employees’ Choice Awards winners honor the best places to work in the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany. The awards are based on input from employees who have voluntarily provided anonymous feedback on the company’s reviews about their job, work environment and employer over the past year, according to Glassdoor.
In the United States, Glassdoor’s “100 Best Places to Work” recognizes employers with 1,000 or more employees and “50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For,” which recognizes employers with fewer than 1,000 employees. Winners will be ranked based on their overall rating achieved over the past year, the company said. Ratings are based on a five-point scale, with five being the highest score. Employees rate employers based on various workplace attributes, including career opportunities and culture and values. Among the 2.3 million employers rated on Glassdoor, the average company rating is 3.7.
“The past year has seen extreme ups and downs for job seekers and employees, but despite an increasingly uncertain job market, Glassdoor data shows there are still companies with a strong focus on creating outstanding employee experiences,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor’s Chief Executive Officer, in a statement. “It’s encouraging to see companies doubling down on employee mental health and well-being, diversity and inclusion, competitive benefits and flexible work environments as we head into 2023.”
