The final top 25 poll of the 2022 season The Associated Press was released the Tuesday after Georgia‘s dominant 65-7 title win TCU on Monday evening.
As expected, the top four consisted of the four semifinal teams: Georgia, TCU, Michigan and Ohio State.
Due to TCU’s blowout loss on Monday, which happened to be the biggest blowout in college football title history, some voters on the AP poll chose not to place the Horned Frogs at No. 2.
In fact, 16 out of 63 voters ranked another program in second place, rather than TCU. The other schools were Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama and a vote for Tennessee in second place.
One voter in particular stood out for college football fans: ESPNs college game day Host Rece Davis. He ranked TCU the lowest of all 63 voters, bringing the national runner-up to sixth place.
Here’s the full list of what each voter rated in the last AP poll of the season.
Though Davis has yet to provide a statement on his AP poll, he wasn’t the only person who didn’t think TCU deserved second place.
