EXCLUSIVE – Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the powerful fiscal conservative and libertarian political advocacy group, is launching a major publicity campaign calling on both major political parties in Congress to do so put politics aside and work towards tackling the problems Americans face.
The campaign, which will include a national television commercial and digital advertising, billboards and billboards in and around the country’s capital, as well as additional grassroots engagement through direct outreach and events, was first shared with Fox News on Tuesday.
“At the 118th Congress – how are you defined? Will you be known for political theater like those before you? Or will you help solve our cost of living crisis? Will you spend responsibly to bring down inflation and cut red tape to lower our energy bills and make it easier to find fulfilling work,” the narrator asks in the ad.
“You can be the Congress that makes life affordable. Americans need you to be successful. the narrator concludes.

AFP tells Fox News Digital it’s spending seven figures on its campaign, which begins this week.
With Democrats holding the Senate majority and Republicans controlling the House of Representatives, Congress has split again after two years to retain total Democratic control.
AFP says theirs Campaign “Dear 118th Congress”. highlights “the decision before Congress to go into a newly divided government – partisan deadlock in view of the next election or the legislative hard work that voters await.”

AFP was founded and funded by Kansas-based billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch, known as the Koch brothers.
David Koch resigned from his involvement with AFP before his death in 2019.
