Marie-Philip Poulin continued to shine with a hat-trick on Sunday as Team Harvey defeated Team Scotiabank 5-2 at the Professional Women’s Hockey Players’ Association’s Dream Gap Tour showcase in Pittsburgh.
Laura Fortino and Alex Poznikoff also scored for Team Harvey’s, while Megan Keller and Tatum Skaggs answered for Team Scotiabank.
After Skaggs narrowed the deficit for Team Scotiabank early in the third period, Poulin completed her hat-trick and restored Team Harvey’s lead by two goals. Poznikoff added the insurance mark with 32 seconds left in the game.
Poulin scored the first two goals of the game in the opening period to give her side a 2–0 lead going into mid-field. Keller put Team Scotiabank on the board 2:32 into the second, but Fortino made it a 3-1 game for Team Harvey’s four minutes later.
On Saturday, Poulin scored the winner with 3:20 left in the final frame of a 4-3 victory over Team Adidas. The star of the Canadian national team from Beauceville, Que., has led Team Harvey’s to six consecutive wins, with the latest loss coming on Oct. 15 at the showcase in Montreal.

Team Adidas bounces back with victory over Team Sonnet
Team Adidas defeated Team Sonnet 3-1 later on Sunday to round out the event, with American Olympian Kendall Coyne Schofield leading the way.
Coyne Schofield scored her team’s first two goals, including the eventual winner in the second period. She opened the scoring in the first period before Abby Roque reacted quickly with the tying goal.
Team Adidas took the lead in the second period, when Coyne Schofield’s go-ahead goal was followed less than a minute later by Emily Curlett’s insurance mark.
Team Adidas goalkeeper Sydney Scobee made 34 saves.

Team adidas scored two goals within a minute, including the winner of the game against Team Sonnet.
Team Harvey’s and Team Adidas took three points each with the regulation wins. Unlike previous seasons, every game counts towards the season standings.
The last games of the regular season will be played in three cities from December 9 to 10.
Team Scotiabank takes on Team Adidas on December 9 in Kemptville, Ont., followed by Team Harvey’s vs. Team Sonnet in Gatineau, Que.
Team Sonnet will then take on Team Adidas on December 10 at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. Team Harvey’s will close the program against Team Scotiabank later that day at the same venue.

The season will conclude with an all-star event on December 11 at the Canadian Tire Center in partnership with the Senators. The event will see the best players from the PWHPA compete in a skill competition and a three-on-three tournament.
